Mists of Pandaria Patch 5.0.4 Changes

 



We've covered this topic in terms of how it will work for Mists of Pandaria, but it can be easy to forget that as of next week, hit, expertise and spell hit will be functioning differently than they do now.

Some big things to remember:


Ranged attacks will be able to be dodged. This means that hunters will need expertise, making all physical DPS use the same hit and expertise formulas. Hunters and enhancement shaman will more closely share gear in the future, and as for patch 5.0.4, you hunters are going to want expertise.

Shamans will get this set from tier 14 raids, such as heart of fear! The rotation itself seems fairly unchanged. You keep Searing Totem up (or you could switch to Magma if you’re in an AoE situation), The Shaman Tiers in Mists of Pandaria which is a lot easier now, then keep Flame Shock up, and otherwise hit Stormstrike and Lava Lash on cooldown. I use Unleash Elements when it’s up and nothing else needs hitting to get the melee haste from my unleashing Windfury. Combat Ratings In Mists of Pandaria

 

Continuing to work on Mists of Pandaria stuff, and I just added the level 90 MoP combat ratings to the combat ratings page. This is all of the ones that I’ve dug up or have confirmed (except the agil to crit, which comes from Zeherah).

In the process of testing for the pet conversions I stumbled across a handful of what appear to be bugs. Right now the tooltip shows pet armor and AP inheriting 100% from hunter, with no base of either. Blizzard Acknowledges Diablo 3 Error

 



Update: There is a workaround to play Diablo III if you don’t mind:

1. Not playing with your friends
2. The possible lag.
3. Creating a level 1 character

USA players can play Diablo III by going to the login screen, press the Options button. Select Account. Select Europe from the Server dropdown menu. Happy hunting. The only setback is your character list won’t appear in the Europe server. Try the USA servers every time you leave a game. The developers are currently investigating the Error 3006 issue, and implementing a fix at a later time. No ETA.***

Diablo 3 Breaking Sales Record

 



Blizzard has revealed their sales figures for Diablo 3 which makes the ARPG sequel the fastest selling PC game according to their internal sales records.

The game sold a whopping 3.5 million copies on release and an additional 1.2 milion players are playing the game through the World of Warcraft annual pass. Since launch, Blizzard state that 6.3 million games in total have now been sold.

It's no huge surprise there were connection problems on launch day with 4.7 million players all hitting the servers at midnight on release.

Anne posted yesterday about the new hunter pet challenges, including exciting information on how hunters can track down their target tames using tracks on the ground that are visible only to hunters.
